Since pregnancy I’ve been dreaming about getting Boof on a bike.  In fact, for my baby shower, one of my friends even bought him his first helmet (thanks Rene)… fast-forward 7 months and I’m still looking for a trailer and/or bike seat for my Surly.

On Saturday, February 9th (8:00-10:30), Oak City Cycling Project is hosting their first “Bring Your Own Kid Family Ride.”  This is a group cruise for parents & children (with helmets) to ride through downtown Raleigh (and hit up Transfer Company Foodhall afterward).  Their hope is to host these short family rides quarterly.

Luke & I are super huge fans of Oak City Cycling Project.  This local, community-centered bicycle shop is independently owned in downtown Raleigh.  We’ve bought several bikes and lots of gear from Oak City and are always impressed with knowledge and service.  While Luke loves Mountain Biking, I tend to like more cycling on the road and/or hitting up trails along the Capital Area Greenway.

With the consignment sale coming up next week… does anyone have any great ideas of seats and/or bike trailers I should look for?  I’m looking to get back in the saddle!
